Egil has over 35 years’ experience in the computer, Internet and automotive electronics. In the last 16 years he has focused on self-driving cars, connected car technology, auto infotainment, mobile devices used in the car and driver assist systems.
Egil’s most recent research has been focused on autonomous driving technologies, self-driving cars, automotive software and cyber-security. In the last three years, he has written five research reports and given over 15 conference presentations on autonomous driving technologies and self-driving cars.
He has extensive experience in technology forecasting, competitive analysis and market forecasting. Egil was co-founder of Telematics Research Group, which was acquired by iSuppli in 2008. IHS acquired iSuppli in 2010. 
Egil was president and editor of Computer Industry Almanac, which published eight Computer and Internet Industry Almanac reference books. Dr. Juliussen was Chairman and Co-founder of Future Computing, which was the leading PC market research and product testing company. Future Computing was sold to McGraw-Hill.  Previously, Dr. Juliussen was with Texas Instruments where he was a strategic and product planner for microprocessors and PCs.
He has written columns and papers for technology publications and makes presentations, seminars and lectures in the USA, Asia and Europe. Dr. Juliussen has made over 600 papers, reports and conference presentations in the last 30 years. He received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Purdue University. Egil is a member of SAE and IEEE.
